This full-time, non-management position as a Wine and Sake Service Assistant is an essential role within The Setai's beverage team. The assistant is responsible for supporting sommeliers with providing outstanding bottle service to guests, ensuring a smooth and efficient wine and sake experience. Duties include maintaining the sommelier station well-stocked with premium wines, sakes, glassware, and necessary tools; promptly delivering wine and sake bottles to sommeliers during service; and managing inventory in the cellar and storage areas to guarantee adequate stock levels are maintained. The position also involves close collaboration with the Head Sommelier to conduct inventory, oversee new deliveries, and maintain organization according to procedural guidelines.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food and beverage service or sommelier assistance preferred
- Ability to lift and carry bottles and stock items regularly
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a similar role within a luxury hospitality environment is beneficial
- Knowledge of wine, sake, and beverage service etiquette
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Basic computer literacy for inventory and order tracking
Job Duties
- Provide friendly, courteous and efficient service to all guests with making eye contact, smiling and maintaining proper posture
- Keep sommelier station stocked with wine, sake, premium wine glasses and wine tools necessary for each service
- Deliver bottles of wine and sake to sommeliers in a timely manner for tables having wine and sake service
- Restock cellar before, during, and after service
- Restock bars at the beginning and end of dinner service
- Put away new wines in storage and notify Head Sommelier when items are low or unavailable
- Maintain stock in proper order according to procedural guidelines set by Head Sommelier
- Work as a member of the beverage team and interact positively with the service team
- Assist Head Sommelier with maintaining stock in designated wine areas and facilitate weekly inventory
- Assist beverage receiver in allocating wine and sake deliveries
- Support Head Sommelier in preparing wine orders on a daily and weekly basis
- Follow proper time, attendance and uniform procedures
