Job Description
VintEdge Wine and Spirits is a distinguished wine and liquor retailer located in Somerville, New Jersey, known for offering an exceptional selection of wines, spirits, and related products. Unlike typical liquor stores, VintEdge emphasizes a customer-focused approach prioritizing superior service, expert recommendations, and great value. The store has cultivated a reputation for personalizing customer experiences and maintaining a broad and curated inventory of both popular and unique items. VintEdge Wine and Spirits is deeply rooted in the community and aims to foster a welcoming and knowledgeable environment for all patrons. Their dedication to quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction distinguishes them in the retail beverage market. The company values innovation and is continually evolving with a strong online presence through their website, www.vintedgewineandspirits.com, supporting in-store sales with digital marketing and content creation.
In this context, the role of Wine and Operations Manager at VintEdge Wine and Spirits holds a vital position in the overall success and customer experience of the store. This full-time position based in Somerville, NJ, is designed for someone with a minimum of three years of experience in food, beverage, hospitality, or retail sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations while delivering excellent customer service and supporting business growth initiatives. The position involves hands-on duties such as inventory management, merchandising, facilitating customer tastings, and events, as well as contributing to marketing content and back-office operations. The Wine and Operations Manager will also have an important role in maintaining the store's visual appeal, ensuring clean and organized spaces, and overseeing transactions as a cashier.
This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple priorities efficiently and foster positive interactions with customers and team members alike. In addition to retail skills, the candidate should have a flair for creative tasks involving graphic design for promotional materials and the ability to work with point-of-sale systems. Flexibility in working hours, including availability on nights and weekends, is essential for covering store operations and events. Educationally, while a high school diploma or equivalent is required, industry certifications such as WSET or Sommelier training are considered a significant advantage. VintEdge is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace. This position offers an exciting opportunity for growth in the wine and spirits retail sector, combining operational management with customer engagement and marketing support in a vibrant and dynamic environment.
