Job Description

Baker Hughes is a globally recognized energy technology company that specializes in serving the oil and gas sector. Operating across more than 120 countries, Baker Hughes has a long-standing reputation for innovation, reliability, and excellence in energy technology solutions. The company is committed to taking energy forward in a way that is safer, cleaner, and more efficient for the planet and the communities it serves. With a rich history that spans over a century, Baker Hughes continues to inspire progress and innovation in both energy and industrial sectors. The company values diversity and inclusion, fostering an environment where all employees are empowered to bring their authentic selves to work and grow their careers.

As a Warehouse Operator at Baker Hughes, you will play a critical role in supporting the company’s supply chain and production operations. Based in Houston, TX, and working on the second shift, this onsite position involves managing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials and products essential to maintaining smooth manufacturing processes and timely delivery to customers. You will be responsible for operating warehouse equipment like forklifts, performing inventory control activities such as cycle counts, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Your efforts directly impact the efficiency of warehouse operations and contribute to meeting production schedules and customer demands.

The Warehouse Operator role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy hands-on work managing materials and logistical activities. In this role, accuracy, safety, and efficiency are paramount to success. You will handle inbound materials from suppliers, internal plants, and field locations, stock inventory, prepare component kits for production, and assist with shipping and receiving functions. Effective communication, basic computer skills, and familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP are important for tracking and reporting inventory and orders.

Baker Hughes is committed to providing flexible working arrangements where possible, including flexible hours during the shift to help employees balance productivity and personal commitments. This role offers a competitive compensation package and a comprehensive benefits program, including private medical care, life and disability insurance, financial programs, and additional voluntary benefits. Employees are also eligible to participate in the Company-sponsored Thrift Plan (401k), ensuring long-term financial security. Working at Baker Hughes means joining a supportive workplace culture that invests in employee health, well-being, training, and leadership development, empowering you to perform at your best and grow your career within a leading global energy technology organization.

This role represents an excellent opportunity to contribute to Baker Hughes’ commitment to operational excellence and sustainability in the energy sector. If you are motivated by supporting production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and safe material handling, this position allows you to make a tangible impact while developing your skills in a dynamic and innovative company environment. Baker Hughes is an equal opportunity employer that values diverse perspectives, encourages growth and inclusion, and is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of energy technology to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
