The Recreation Attendant position at W Hotels is a pivotal role focused on enhancing the overall guest experience by overseeing and facilitating all recreational activities on the property. This role requires a proactive and approachable individual who acts as a key resource for guests seeking information about recreation facilities, which may include pools, beach areas, entertainment zones, game rooms, fitness centers, and child activity centers. The Recreation Attendant plays a vital role in promoting a fun and relaxing atmosphere, ensuring that all activities are enjoyable, safe, and aligned with the hotel’s standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting, registering, and scheduling guests for participation in a wide variety of recreational activities. You will maintain a vigilant presence to ensure the safety and welfare of guests, enforcing rules and regulations of the recreational facilities. Your responsibilities also include observing activities for any unsafe conditions or emergencies, responding promptly according to established procedures, and providing first aid assistance as needed until emergency medical services arrive. The role demands physical activity such as standing, walking, lifting, and moving equipment, making it essential for the candidate to be physically fit and agile.

Additionally, the Recreation Attendant will manage point of sale transactions for equipment rentals and other recreation-related sales, operate the facilities with professionalism, and assist with hosting private group events within these recreational spaces. Maintaining cleanliness and order of recreational areas and equipment, reporting accidents or unsafe work conditions, and completing ongoing safety training are integral to upholding the venue’s high standards.
