This position is for a Dishwasher, an essential role that is critical to upholding the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the restaurant.
As a Dishwasher at Flanigan's, you will be the backbone of the restaurant’s sanitation efforts, ensuring that all dishware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This role demands diligence, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining kitchen hygiene. You will be responsible for following all safety and sanitation protocols, maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen areas including sweeping, mopping, and debris removal. The role includes performing assigned prep tasks, opening and closing duties, and helping maintain the dish machine throughout operating hours. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that the cleanliness standards are consistently met to support a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous kitchen or sanitation experience preferred
- ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- physical ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
- capable of lifting 50 lbs multiple times per shift
- able to work in a fast-paced, high-temperature environment
- good communication skills in English
- willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends
- ability to pass a food safety certification program
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
- can reach, bend, stoop
- can immerse hands in water frequently diluted with chemical solutions
- ability to speak, read and write English
- able to lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift
- work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
- work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- support fellow employees as needed
- complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
- cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
- maintain kitchen area cleanliness
- sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor
- perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
- prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
