Job Description
Parsons is a leading technology-focused defense, intelligence, security, and infrastructure engineering firm dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that protect and enhance our nation's most critical assets. With a proud legacy spanning over 75 years, Parsons has cultivated a culture of innovation, agility, and growth. The company is committed to fostering an environment where employees thrive and are empowered to reach their full potential while working with exceptional colleagues and embracing diversity and inclusion. Parsons' Federal Solutions segment focuses on delivering mission-critical services and programs for the United States government, particularly in defense, infrastructure, and security projects, maintaining a reputation for excellence and reliability. Parsons is currently seeking passionate, skilled, and experienced professionals to join a major program and construction management team. This team supports a significant infrastructure project related to U.S. border security programs, emphasizing the delivery of complex government projects with precision and diligence.
The role of West Region Safety Manager at Parsons is a key leadership position within the construction management program for this large-scale government infrastructure project. This role is responsible for overseeing Owner Agent Construction Management Services including program management, construction management, risk management, scheduling, cost estimating, progress reporting, construction quality assurance, safety, and other supporting services critical to the program's success. The Safety Manager will be instrumental in ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations on-site, managing a team of safety specialists, and collaborating closely with senior construction representatives to identify and mitigate hazards. Responsibilities also include conducting detailed accident investigations, leading safety inspections with regulatory bodies, performing risk assessments, and providing technical guidance to enhance safety planning processes.
This position requires a dedicated professional with substantial experience in occupational safety and health, particularly within heavy construction environments, and a strong understanding of federal government project standards. Candidates with OSHA 30 certification, a bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field (or equivalent experience), and professional safety certifications are preferred. Strong leadership skills and prior supervisory experience are vital to managing safety teams effectively. Parsons values local applicants who have U.S. person status and can obtain and maintain federal program site access through background checks. The role offers a competitive salary range of $108,700 to $190,200 and includes comprehensive benefits designed to support employee wellbeing and work-life balance. With Parsons, employees gain access to growth opportunities where their talents are nurtured, and their careers thrive in an inclusive and dynamic workplace. This position provides a unique opportunity to contribute to a critical national security infrastructure initiative while advancing one’s professional journey in a supportive and engaging environment.
