Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is currently recruiting for the position of Wellness Kitchen Cook I to play an integral role in supporting the culinary operations of the Center for Health & Wellbeing. This position is responsible for preparing a variety of nutritious and delicious meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which align with the diverse programming and events held at the CHW. This includes fitness sessions, spa amenities, and specialty classes that require nourishing, thoughtfully crafted food offerings.
The Wellness Kitchen Cook I position demands a culinary professional who is deeply passionate about food quality and presentation, safety, and cleanliness. The role is focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards consistent with the Four Seasons brand. Candidates will be skilled in executing culinary tasks that range from traditional kitchen duties to guest-facing positions such as omelet stations, sushi preparation, and other interactive culinary activations.

- minimum 2 years culinary or related work experience
- ability to operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill
- proficient knife skills
- ability to multi-task
- legal work authorization in the United States

Job Duties
- Prepare food items according to guest orders with consistent quality, following recipe cards, production, portion, and presentation standards
- complete mise en place and properly set up stations for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service
- execute guest-facing culinary positions, including omelet stations, chef-assisted classes, banquet and CHW carving stations, sushi preparation, and culinary activations
- operate, maintain, and properly clean all kitchen equipment, including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill
- date, label, and rotate all food items in accordance with policies, ensuring perishables are stored at proper temperatures
- check pars for each shift, determine necessary preparation, complete freezer pulls and line setup, and identify any out-of-stock items or potential shortages
- return unused food items to designated storage areas, ensuring all perishables are properly covered, dated, and stored according to standards
