Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • typically requires 2 years in customer service facing role
  • life support training courses may be required dependent on department discretion
  • excellent customer service, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • intermediate computer skills
  • ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment
  • ability to manage multiple demands and priorities
  • ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • intermediate computer skills, prior Epic experience is a plus
  • ability to manage multiple demands and priorities
  • demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Manage the first and last impressions of the facility
  • proactively approach, greet and acknowledge all guests
  • provide quick, responsive guest service
  • answer telephone and make calls to departments and outside organizations
  • utilize Epic system for appointment and patient look-up and input transport requests
  • communicate effectively with departments and transport companies
  • partner with hospital staff
  • problem-solve and manage conflict
  • address patient and visitor concerns and complaints
  • assist with maintaining traffic flow at facility entrances
  • physically assist in transport of patients and visitors via wheelchair and escorting
  • assist patients in and out of vehicles
  • conduct symptom screening of patients and visitors when required
