Job Requirements

  • At least eighteen years of age
  • ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • current Food Handlers Card
  • skills in leadership, training, and supervision
  • proficient communication skills
  • physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
  • ability to frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds
  • comfortable with extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
  • availability to work indoors and outdoors
  • criminal background clearance

Job Qualifications

  • Current Food Handlers Card
  • demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision
  • proficient written and oral communication skills
  • ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • experience in culinary preparation preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes
  • provide exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion
  • ensure health protocols are followed including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures
  • familiarize with residents and their preferences and needs
  • participate in resident orientations
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in the cooking and dining areas
  • collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
