Job Description

Encore Service Group is a renowned healthcare-focused service provider dedicated to blending healthcare with hospitality to deliver exceptional experiences. Established with the core belief that healthcare and hospitality should complement each other, Encore Service Group has steadily grown to serve the states of Michigan and Ohio with a diverse range of service offerings. The company specializes in non-emergency medical transportation, shuttle services, valet parking, service excellence consulting and coaching, parking and garage management, and welcome desk and concierge services. This unique combination of healthcare and hospitality solutions positions Encore Service Group as a leader in its field, committed to making a lasting positive impression on every individual they serve, from patients to healthcare staff and hospital visitors.

Encore Service Group is currently seeking exceptional part-time Valet Team Members to join their dedicated team at a local hospital. This role is crucial to maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for patients, guests, and hospital employees. Valet team members are scheduled for weekend shifts with available hours from 5 AM to 1 PM, 7 AM to 3 PM, and 8 AM to 4 PM, providing flexibility and an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking part-time work. This position demands individuals who are detail-oriented, energetic, and compassionate, manifesting dependable work ethics, openness to constructive feedback, and a positive mindset. Strong communication skills are vital to this role, enhancing the ability to interact courteously and effectively with a diverse range of people.

While a background in hospitality is preferred, it is not mandatory, making this a great opportunity for motivated candidates looking to develop their skills and gain valuable experience in a healthcare-related hospitality environment. Valet team members must be physically active, capable of walking, running, and standing throughout their shift, and ready to work in all weather conditions. The role requires reliability and punctuality, a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check. Additionally, candidates must have their own reliable transportation and must provide proof of a flu shot before attending training.

The responsibilities in this role extend beyond parking and retrieving vehicles safely; valet team members are ambassadors for Encore Service Group. They are expected to greet everyone with friendliness and respect, maintain a neat and professional appearance in line with the company’s uniform policy, and actively seek opportunities to exceed customer expectations. They must consistently exhibit professionalism even in challenging situations, providing door opening and assistance services whenever needed. This role holds a significant place within the hospital environment by contributing to the comfort and satisfaction of all visitors and staff, ultimately supporting the broader mission of blending healthcare and hospitality services seamlessly.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old due to insurance requirements. Successful applicants are asked to submit either a resume or a written paragraph detailing their work history and personal attributes to be considered for the position. Encore Service Group looks forward to welcoming new team members who share their commitment to service excellence and compassionate care, ensuring every interaction creates a positive and lasting impression in a healthcare setting.
