The Weekend Warrior Server is a part-time role based at The Fremont Senior Living in Springfield, Missouri, where the shift schedule is Friday through Monday from 7 am to 2 pm. This position offers an attractive starting wage ranging from $15.00 to $22.00 per hour, reflecting the value Arrow Senior Living places on dedicated team members. The Weekend Warrior Server will play an essential role in enhancing residents' dining experiences by combining hospitality, preparation, cleanliness, and attentiveness to residents’ wellbeing.

As a Weekend Warrior Server, you will act as a 'Host with the Most,' greeting residents warmly, fostering social connections, and creating a lively, engaging dining atmosphere. You will be responsible as a 'Peppy Prepper,' preparing tables, meals, and silverware to ensure every dining service runs smoothly. The role also requires commitment as a 'Titan of Tidiness' by maintaining clean dining areas and supporting a welcoming environment.

Additionally, you will serve as an 'Appetite Anthropologist,' a critical function involving communication with supervisors and wellness staff when dietary concerns or changes in resident appetite are observed. The position requires physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping throughout the shift, as well as assisting residents with mobility and safety needs.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • able to read, write, and communicate in English proficiently
  • physically able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the shift
  • frequently lift or move items up to 50 pounds
  • able to assist residents with mobility and post-fall support
  • pass a criminal background check
  • availability to work Friday through Monday from 7 am to 2 pm
  • positive and energetic attitude

Job Qualifications

  • At least 16 years of age
  • able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at an 8th grade level or higher
  • positive and energetic attitude
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping
  • ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds
  • experience in hospitality or senior care is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Greet residents and make them feel welcome
  • be present in the dining room and foster social connections
  • prepare tables, salads, and silverware for meal service
  • bus tables and maintain cleanliness in the dining area
  • communicate with supervisors and wellness staff regarding residents' dietary habits and appetite changes
  • assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after falls
  • roll silverware and help with meal prep tasks
