Job Requirements
- 1-2 years hands-on commercial and corporate aircraft or Part 145 Repair Station experience required
- strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and other FAA approved or acceptable data required
- flexibility to work changing shifts including on-call/AOG coverage to include nights and weekends on as-needed or short notice basis required
- must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English
- must possess a valid Texas Driver's License with ability to drive occasionally
- ability to stand for most of shift
- ability to lift, push/pull carts or parts and carry up to 25 lbs
- ability to climb a ladder
- ability to become certified on a forklift
- punctual and reliable attendance required
- accurate data entry required
- ability to complete work efficiently and meet deadlines
- travel may be required infrequently, overnight or weekend
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years hands-on commercial and corporate aircraft, or Part 145 Repair Station experience
- strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and other FAA approved or acceptable data and its usage
- proficient in tape masking, painting, chemical stripping and sanding techniques
- knowledge of MSDS and TDS material data sheets
- experience with polishing and assembly of aluminum and stainless steel components
- ability to work with minimal supervision
- proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
Job Duties
- Attention to detail understand FAR/FAA requirements
- must be able to perform work assignments with minimal supervision and guidance
- must be able to use a variety of hand tools
- be able to create, complete paint prep work including chemical stripping and sanding on various forms of substrates (aluminum, composite, steel, stainless steel, etc.)
- proficient in tape masking of product and occasionally the use of body filler products and sanding techniques
- proficient in spraying techniques and customizing chemical formulas to overcome environmental challenges and various substrates and environmental conditions
- polishing, cleaning, and final assembly of completed structure including mirror finish polishing on aluminum and stainless-steel components
- completes component paint detailing
- must be able to interpret and have clear understanding of material MSDS and TDS data
- performs duties in compliance with regulations, including FAA, OSHA and EPA
- additional other duties as assigned
