Job Description
Our establishment is a reputable foodservice provider operating within a licensed care facility that prioritizes nutrition, safety, and exceptional quality. We are committed to serving our residents with meals that not only meet dietary requirements but also contribute to their overall wellbeing and satisfaction. As a licensed facility, we adhere strictly to state licensure bureau mandates to ensure that all food preparation, storage, and service protocols meet or exceed sanitation and safety standards. With a focus on collaborative care, we work closely with foodservice directors and care teams to customize meal plans that cater to individual dietary needs and preferences, supporting residents through a holistic approach to nutrition.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Cook to join our foodservice team. This role demands a responsible and meticulous individual tasked with preparing and maintaining food in accordance with established sanitation guidelines and dietary requirements. The Cook will actively engage in meal preparation, inventory management, and ensuring all food handling areas and utensils are appropriately sanitized. Attention to portion control and adherence to budgetary constraints are key aspects of this position. The Cook will play an integral role in dietary management by reviewing residents' diet information, working alongside the Foodservice Director to adjust food offerings as necessary.
Responsibilities include monitoring and replenishing food inventory, managing grocery lists, and stocking food items compliant with regulatory requirements. The Cook is also responsible for post-meal duties, including the retrieval and sanitation of dishes and utensils to maintain a hygienic dining environment. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage food substitutions, complete accurate substitution logs, and post weekly menus to inform residents and staff of meal options.
Overall, the role of Cook is instrumental in delivering nutritious, safe, and enjoyable meals that meet the specific dietary needs of our residents while maintaining compliance with state regulations. This opportunity is ideal for candidates passionate about food safety, quality meal preparation, and resident care within a structured and supportive environment.
