Job Description

Uber is a global technology company that has redefined urban transportation since its inception in 2010. Focused on making mobility more accessible, Uber provides a user-friendly platform connecting riders, drivers, and delivery people seamlessly. With its presence in over 15,000 cities worldwide, Uber continues to revolutionize how people move, work, and earn in their communities. The company’s innovative model allows drivers and delivery persons to operate as independent contractors, providing flexibility and control over their schedules, making Uber a top choice for those seeking gig-based work opportunities.

This particular role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for part-time weekend jobs in Des Moines, whether it's Saturday jobs, Sunday jobs, or both. Uber empowers you to earn on your terms with flexible hours and a straightforward onboarding process. As either a driver or delivery person, you can choose to work weekends only or supplement your income with weekday shifts when convenient. The role supports diverse schedules, enabling you to pick riders up from local hubs such as Des Moines International Airport or restaurants including Buffalo Wild Wings and McDonald's or deliver goods to customers' doorsteps. This flexibility makes it ideal for people balancing other commitments or seeking supplementary income without the constraints of traditional employment.

Starting with Uber is simple and efficient, requiring just three steps: sign up, get cleared through an online screening, and activate your account to begin earning. Uber takes safety seriously, requiring drivers to meet specific age, vehicle, and licensing criteria to ensure a secure and reliable service for riders and customers. For those delivering by scooter, bike, or on foot, the role accommodates varied modes of transport and includes distinct requirements for each. During the hiring process, prospective drivers and delivery people must submit necessary documents, including a valid US driver’s license or government-issued ID and a Social Security number for background screening.

Joining Uber as a driver or delivery person in Des Moines means more than just earning money; it means being part of a vibrant community shaping the future of transportation and delivery. The company’s mission to reimagine the way the world moves for the better underpins everything it does. With millions of users relying on Uber for everyday needs, your participation helps foster greater connectivity and accessibility within your city. If you are looking for a side hustle, a way to earn extra money on weekends, or a flexible work option, Uber offers a professional and empowering path to achieve your goals. Whether you have previous rideshare experience or are new to this industry, Uber welcomes you to become part of a dynamic and forward-thinking platform where your earnings potential grows with your effort and availability.
