  • Prior participation as a cook or in a related culinary job
  • Profound insight into the principles of food preparation and various cooking techniques
  • Understanding the importance of sanitation practices and food safety standards
  • Attain the mandatory food safety certification, if it is lacking
  • Fundamental abilities in math and counting principles
  • Skilled at communicating effectively and working collaboratively within teams
  • Having a high school diploma or an equivalent credential is desirable but not obligatory

Job Duties

  • Create meals according to standardized recipes and guidelines for production
  • Equip workstations with the required ingredients and tools for operation
  • Work on ingredients through chopping, trimming, measuring, mixing, and other relevant methods
  • Ensure safety when utilizing different kitchen utensils and equipment like knives, ovens, stoves, and mixers by adhering to proper procedures
  • Employ various cooking methods like baking, broiling, roasting, and steaming to create and serve delicious dishes
  • Prepare and distribute meals while adhering to specific standards for their presentation
  • Follow all the essential food safety measures and store food correctly
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Provide exceptional customer service while radiating a positive attitude
  • Adhere strictly to all safety and sanitation rules prescribed by Aramark
  • Maintain the confidentiality of organizational assets
