Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of caregiver or direct support professional experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to provide personal care including grooming, bathing, and feeding
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow Individual Support Plans
- Commitment to confidentiality and client dignity
Job Qualifications
- English proficiency
- Valid driver’s license
- Caregiver or DSP experience
- One year of bathing assistance experience (required for some positions)
- Understanding and respect for client ethics and confidentiality
- Experience in the health care field (preferred)
Job Duties
- Assist individuals with disabilities with their daily living and independence skills
- Develop and maintain a better quality of life for clients
- Utilize Individual Support Plans to assess client needs
- Complete appropriate documentation
- Accompany individuals to and from appointments and activities
- Develop positive relationships between clients and their community
- Provide homemaking services such as grocery shopping, meal preparation, transportation, medication reminders, laundry, and light housekeeping
