Employees are expected to complete pre- and post-shift responsibilities such as cleaning kitchen and service areas, mopping floors, and reporting maintenance issues or damaged equipment immediately.

In some hotel locations, the role may extend to handling made-to-order food and beverage services, including taking accurate orders, entering them correctly into the point-of-sale system, and handling payment transactions efficiently. The Breakfast Attendant may need to print closing reports and manage cash drops in accordance with company protocols. Flexibility in schedule is a must, as the role may require working weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Job Duties

  • Prepare all breakfast items for buffet including cutting fresh fruit, heating and plating packaged items
  • Replenish self-serve breakfast items consistently throughout service
  • Greet guests promptly, warmly, and courteously
  • Restock and clean condiment areas, empty trash and recycling bins
  • Bus and clear tables to maintain cleanliness in dining areas
  • Follow food handling, safety, and sanitation protocols at all times
  • Keep equipment operating by troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance
  • Assist with inventory count and ordering as requested
  • Wash and clean dishes used during service
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and workspaces
  • Complete pre- and post-shift responsibilities including stocking and cleaning
  • Report maintenance issues or damaged equipment
  • Promptly respond to guest requests
  • Take made-to-order food and beverage orders accurately in some locations
  • Enter orders into POS system and close transactions correctly in some locations
  • Other duties assigned by management
