Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year of professional kitchen experience
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
  • ability to start work early in the morning between 4:00am and 5:00am
  • strong commitment to punctuality and positive attitude
  • ability to work Friday through Sunday from 5am to 10am
  • capability to safely operate commercial kitchen equipment
  • adherence to all company policies and food safety regulations
  • willingness to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment
  • physical ability to perform baking and kitchen duties

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a professional kitchen
  • desire to learn, adapt, and remain flexible with procedures and routines
  • familiarity with basic baking concepts including short crust, laminated and brioche doughs, cookies, ganaches and basic hand-work
  • excellent basic math skills
  • ability to read, follow and scale a recipe in English
  • ability to use a scale properly to measure ingredients by metric weight
  • knowledge of basic kitchen communication and adherence to dress code
  • understanding and adherence to food safety regulations
  • ServSafe certified or willingness to undergo certification within 30 days of hire
  • ability to establish and maintain positive partnerships with all team members
  • willingness to work with adults with intellectual and developmental differences and special mental health needs
  • ability to accept feedback in a positive manner and contribute wherever needed
  • excellent communication and complex problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Organize daily bakes as directed by Executive Pastry Chef
  • bake all products according to recipe specifications
  • consistently finish all items to meet company standards
  • use all kitchen equipment safely and for intended purpose
  • maintain a safe, clean and sanitary working environment
  • ability to begin work between 4:00am-5:00am
  • assist with light production tasks as needed
