The Lead Wedding Coordinator position with Leigh & Co. Events is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about weddings and looking to expand their career in wedding planning. This role is based in Colorado and highlights a contract employment type that offers flexibility through a pick-your-own-schedule format, perfect for those seeking autonomy in their work hours. Events provides training to support new coordinators, ensuring that they are fully equipped to succeed in their role.
As the Lead Wedding Coordinator, the primary responsibility will be to serve as the main planner for engaged couples, primarily providing services onsite to ensure smooth and memorable wedding day experiences. This role focuses on the execution of all day-of operations from the beginning of the morning setup to the final teardown at the end of the night. Coordinators will work closely with assistant coordinators and manage communication with vendors rigorously to ensure the day unfolds without glitches. The role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to calmly handle any issues or last-minute changes under pressure while acting as a calming influence for the couple and their families.
The Lead Wedding Coordinator will be instrumental in crafting detailed wedding timelines and taking a hands-on approach during setup, including overseeing the arrangement of ceremony and reception elements such as seating cards, menu cards, table numbers, favors, guest books, and other decor. This role also includes directing vendors, assisting the wedding party and family members as needed, and making sure that end-of-event details such as gifts and keepsakes are properly managed. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for those looking to grow their expertise in the wedding planning industry while working within a supportive and dynamic team environment for the 2026 season and beyond.
