Whiskey Cake is a vibrant and dynamic restaurant dedicated to delivering not just exceptional food and drinks but an unforgettable hospitality experience. Known for its warm, inviting atmosphere and commitment to quality, Whiskey Cake blends a passion for farm-to-table cuisine with a robust selection of craft cocktails, whiskey, beer, and wine. This establishment prides itself on being more than just a restaurant; it’s a community space where guests feel valued, engaged, and connected. The team at Whiskey Cake embodies a spirit of enthusiasm and friendly service, making it a standout place for both employees and patrons alike.
At Whiskey Cake, the emphasis is on the people business. The Barkeeps, affectionately known as 'badasses,' are the heart and soul of this experience. These bartenders are not only skilled in the craft of mixology but are also experts in engaging and connecting with guests on a personal level. They possess the emotional intelligence required to read the room and understand the nuances of guest preferences, thereby enhancing the overall dining experience. More than just preparing drinks, these professionals carefully balance efficiency with hospitality, ensuring that each guest receives prompt and personalized service. This role is perfect for someone who is outgoing, personable, and passionate about food, drinks, and excellent customer service.
The position at Whiskey Cake offers competitive benefits, including medical insurance for hourly employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week, eligible within 90 days of hire or at the next enrollment period. After one year, employees can participate in a 401k plan, provided they meet the service hour requirements and age criteria. Furthermore, Whiskey Cake invests in its employees’ professional growth, offering multiple pathways for career advancement and skills development within the hospitality industry.
Joining Whiskey Cake as a Barkeep means becoming part of a team that values collaboration, integrity, and continuous learning. From maintaining a clean and organized bar to preparing intricate cocktails with precision and flair, Barkeeps at Whiskey Cake play a pivotal role in upholding the restaurant’s high standards. They are expected to maintain certifications, practice proper sanitation, and adhere strictly to alcohol service regulations, ensuring a safe and responsible environment for guests and staff. This role demands stamina, skill, creativity, and a genuine love for the craft of bartending and hospitality, making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking to excel in a high-volume, upscale service setting.
