Job Description
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is a renowned family-owned hospitality company known for crafting unforgettable vacation experiences across the United States. Home to America’s Largest Indoor Waterparks, the company boasts multiple African-inspired resorts featuring world-class dining, luxurious spas, thrilling entertainment, and innovative convention centers that elevate hospitality standards. Operating in locations such as Wisconsin Dells, WI; Sandusky, OH; Pocono Manor, PA; Round Rock, TX; and Spotsylvania County, VA, Kalahari Resorts offers guests extraordinary experiences combining leisure, relaxation, and entertainment in vibrant, welcoming environments.
The company embodies a strong core value articulated through its Promise to "Lead with Love," emphasizing deep care for guests, associates, and communities by fostering a family-like atmosphere, giving generously back to society, and maintaining inclusive spaces that make everyone feel valued. Kalahari Resorts is also actively involved in global social responsibility initiatives like partnering with charity: water to help bring clean drinking water to one million people in Africa.
The Waterpark Front Desk Cashier role at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is a vital position designed to deliver exceptional guest service in one of the most dynamic areas of the resorts. This part-time role involves managing front desk point-of-sale operations, processing cabana and premium seating check-ins, supporting the towel desk, and helping to maintain the smooth flow of the waterpark environment. The position requires a warm, friendly, attentive demeanor and offers opportunities to earn commissions on cabana sales, providing motivated individuals with entrepreneurial potential to increase their income while upholding the Kalahari Promise daily.
Members of the leadership team, including this role, are expected to embody Kalahari’s principle of Leading with Love by guiding, supporting, and inspiring team members while delivering superior guest experiences. Waterpark Front Desk Cashiers greet guests with energy and positivity, respond clearly to inquiries, troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, and maintain a high level of organization and support to facilitate a fun, engaging, and stress-free atmosphere for guests and coworkers alike. The job demands flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as well as the readiness to work outdoors during the waterpark season.
This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy active, guest-facing roles in fast-paced and service-oriented environments. Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, the capacity to stay composed under pressure, and a willingness to assist with additional projects and duties as directed by management. Physical requirements include occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds and frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds when handling towel carts. Kalahari Resorts invests in its team by offering a comprehensive benefits package to part-time and full-time employees, with career growth opportunities, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and various wellness and employee engagement perks. Working at Kalahari means joining a community that values leadership, inclusivity, and making an impact through hospitality excellence that guests remember long after their visit.
