Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • lifeguard certified or lifeguard instructor certified
  • must be obtained within 90 days of the hire date
  • three plus years in waterpark management
  • certified pool operator (CPO) license
  • must be obtained within 90 days of the hire date
  • ability to lead, mentor, and coach a large group of team members to provide exceptional customer service in a safe atmosphere

Job Duties

  • conduct daily pre-opening walk-thru inspections of the waterpark to ensure all equipment is functional and the park meets cleanliness standards
  • maintain detailed documentation of safety inspections and report potential hazards
  • collaborate closely with engineering and housekeeping teams to address maintenance and cleaning needs
  • recruit, onboard, train, and schedule lifeguards and service personnel to align with guest volume requirements
  • communicate staffing needs with human resources to ensure appropriate coverage
  • lead the team in delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe environment for guests
  • participate in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for waterpark operations
  • manage inventory and order supplies needed for waterpark operations
  • control supply costs to stay within budgeted limits
  • coordinate with sales and front office teams to anticipate and prepare for business demands
