Job Requirements
- formal or informal education or training ensuring ability to communicate in English at a level necessary for successful job performance
- ability to work outdoors under various weather conditions
- physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- ability to get on and off moving collection trucks safely
- valid or obtainable Class C Texas driver’s license
- availability to work 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. four days per week
Job Qualifications
- formal or informal education or training ensuring ability to communicate effectively in English
- ability to promote safety through communication in emergencies or other situations
- valid Class C Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain one
Job Duties
- ride on the rear of a collection truck
- get on and off the truck to pick up bags, boxes, and bundles of brush
- load collected materials into the back of the truck for transport
- assist in unloading materials at the Irving landfill or Municipal Recycling Facility
- work outdoors under varying weather conditions
- frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
