Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to lift up to 150 pounds
- Must be able to stand walk and maintain physical activity for most of the day
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment exposed to weather elements and equipment fumes
- Must be able to grasp and turn steering wheels for trucks and forklifts
- Must be able to read labels on products supplies or materials written in English
- Must be able to hear other vehicles forklifts vehicle horns and other warning signals
- Must be able to work 5 to 6 days per week including potential overtime
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not required
- Ability to work 50+ hours per week 5 to 6 days per week
- Knowledge and expertise in the use of a variety of tools
- Ability to do repetitious work
- Must be able to work at a fast pace
- Ability to work in a team environment
Job Duties
- Unloads in-bound freight verifies the material matches the order and records any damages or shortages
- Obtains driver's signature on bill of lading
- Assembles store shipments by palletizing shrink wrapping and labeling the units
- Inspects the shipment ensuring it is securely covered and strapped
- Adheres to safety requirements when operating tools and equipment
- Ensures safety functions on equipment are operating properly
- Handles material in a safe and appropriate manner
- Reports any defects or safety issues immediately
- Completes required safety training
