Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate required
  • minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role
  • ability to lift 50 lbs, push/pull up to 300 lbs, climb ladders without assistance
  • ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle report
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • basic math skills
  • ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • strong computer skills and ability to use scanner systems
  • prior supervisory experience in sales/service distribution preferred
  • forklift certification a plus
  • ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience with a sales/service distribution organization preferred
  • ability to analyze, develop, initiate, and implement plans and strategies
  • strong computer skills including internet navigation, MS Office, and email
  • ability to utilize scanner systems effectively with minimal errors
  • good interpersonal skills with ability to lead and direct associates
  • ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines

Job Duties

  • Assist in the hiring and recruiting process for warehouse staff
  • conduct orientation for newly hired associates including introduction of a mentor buddy
  • supervise, develop, and train all warehouse personnel
  • maintain associate morale and motivation for productivity and retention
  • evaluate and document warehouse associates' job performance
  • conduct performance appraisals and recommend salary changes
  • set performance goals
  • expedite school re-orders timely and oversee UPS/ground shipping
  • adhere to local, State, and Federal regulations including OSHA, DOT, and EEOC
  • conduct monthly safety meetings and investigate job-related incidents
  • schedule staff and maintain attendance records
  • assist in labor hours tracking versus budget
  • assist Branch Manager with production planning system and manage Branch P&L
  • close out fairs ensuring all cases, displays, and boxes are staged properly
  • prepare daily packing schedules and communicate packing instructions
  • oversee fair packing production and stock replenishment
  • supervise packing and display of products according to schematics
  • oversee initial setup of fairs and quality assurance of outgoing products
  • monitor inventory levels and inform management to avoid out-of-stock situations
  • assist with physical inventory counts, open houses, and warehouse sales
  • monitor sell rate of products and recommend supplemental title replacements
  • train staff on scanner inventory system
  • meet and assist customers during open houses and sales
  • ensure proper utilization of warehouse equipment and tools
  • report unsafe conditions or injuries
  • handle merchandise carefully to avoid damage
  • use proper techniques for lifting, packing, handling, climbing ladders, and pushing/pulling cases
  • fill accurate labor data collection cards
  • operate forklifts during peak periods if certified and over 18 years of age
