Job Description
U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., is a prominent leader in the automotive distribution industry with over 100 years of experience. As a company, U.S. AutoForce specializes in supplying tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships. This extensive background and dedication to quality service place U.S. AutoForce at the forefront of the automotive supply chain, making it a trusted partner for businesses across the sector. Known for its commitment to excellence and innovation, the company offers a supportive and inclusive workplace that values diverse perspectives and aims for continuous improvement within the industry.
The role at U.S. AutoForce is designed to provide effective leadership and operational management within the company’s distribution activities. This position involves supervising assigned personnel through goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication to maintain high productivity and safety standards. The leadership responsibilities also extend to conducting hiring, training new employees, and fostering a culture of safety compliance and process improvement. This role is critical in ensuring that daily operations related to receiving, stocking, loading, and returning automotive products run smoothly and efficiently.
This position requires hands-on involvement in various activities, such as checking in products accurately, managing stock, loading delivery trucks with consideration for space use and product safety, and handling returns and warranty documentation. Additionally, operating power equipment, including forklifts, and occasionally acting as a backup driver are part of the job duties. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to regulatory safety programs. The role also demands excellent customer service, superior communication skills, and the ability to enforce productivity standards among the team.
Employees in this role can expect to work in a physically demanding environment, which requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands for handling tools or products, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting heavy products up to 80 pounds. The facilitation of a safe workplace is supported by requiring the use of protective equipment such as steel or composite toe boots, safety vests, harnesses, and seat belts. The work environment includes exposure to typical warehouse conditions, weather elements, moderate noise levels, and fumes related to automotive parts. U.S. AutoForce supports its workforce with comprehensive benefits, including weekly pay, healthcare from day one, a 401(k) plan with generous employer contributions and match, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and various employee assistance programs such as tuition reimbursement and on-the-job training.
U.S. AutoForce values team members who are adaptable and capable of working overtime or flexible hours at short notice. The ideal candidate will have solid communication and math skills, a good memory and scanning abilities, and the willingness to learn and use company computer systems effectively. Physical capabilities such as the ability to climb 20 feet regularly and an aptitude for operating forklifts are essential for this position. Moreover, compliance with company policies including successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is mandatory, alongside valid driver's licensure where applicable. U.S. AutoForce is dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities and encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply, ensuring inclusivity and fairness in every aspect of the hiring process.
