Job Description

Staples is a leading business-to-business company recognized for its commitment to delivering essential office products and services to its customers across various sectors. As a key player in supply chain management, Staples operates a world-class supply chain team that ensures the timely and efficient delivery of products to businesses, supporting their operations and productivity. Known for its inclusive culture and dedication to safety, Staples values every employee's contribution and fosters an environment of collaboration and innovation. The company emphasizes an inclusive culture where diversity and unique perspectives are encouraged, creating a workplace where all employees feel valued and supported. This diversity-driven approach helps Staples maintain its status as a trusted and iconic brand in the office supply industry.

The role of Warehouse Associate at Staples is vital to the success of the supply chain operations. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with a competitive pay rate of $24.00 per hour, which includes a $2.00 per hour shift differential. The role typically involves working the overnight shift from 11:00 pm to 5:30 am, Sunday through Thursday, ensuring the warehouse operates smoothly during critical hours. As a Warehouse Associate, you may be assigned to one of several key areas including bulk/material handling equipment operation, general warehouse porter duties, replenishment, receiving/putaway/returns, returns processing, or shipping. Your responsibilities will encompass operating various types of material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and electric pallet jacks, while strictly adhering to safety procedures. Not all tasks require equipment operation, as manual loading, unloading, and organizing are also essential duties. This role demands the ability to safely handle products weighing up to 100 pounds and to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Working at Staples means you will be part of a team dedicated to maintaining safety as the highest priority. You will be expected to quickly adopt and follow safety protocols, fostering a culture of safety throughout the warehouse. This role requires physical endurance, as it involves standing and walking 100% of the time, working in varying seasonal temperatures, and the ability to work at heights up to 60 feet when needed. Staples supports its associates with benefits such as receiving a pair of work shoes after 60 days, PTO, holiday pay, 401(k) matching, and wellness programs. The company encourages applicants to bring an inclusive attitude towards colleagues and customers, supporting a collaborative and positive work environment. Being part of Staples means contributing directly to the efficient and reliable delivery of products that help businesses operate better every day. As a Warehouse Associate, you will not only be moving products but also playing a crucial role in the operational backbone that supports Staples’ customers and their success.
