Job Description
Staples is a leading business-to-business company renowned for delivering essential products and services that empower workplaces globally. With a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence, Staples operates a world-class supply chain designed to provide timely and efficient delivery of office products. This role is part of Staples' dedicated Supply Chain Team, highlighting the importance of teamwork and precision in meeting the needs of a diverse customer base. The company fosters an inclusive culture, emphasizing diversity and equal opportunity as key values, ensuring that every employee feels valued and supported to contribute to their fullest potential. This dedication to inclusion translates into innovative thinking and a better workplace environment, helping Staples remain a trusted name in the industry.
As a Warehouse Associate at Staples, you will be an integral part of this dynamic supply chain team. This full-time position primarily covers night shifts from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, Sunday through Thursday, with competitive pay starting at $24.00 per hour, including a $2.00 per hour shift differential. Your work is crucial in ensuring products are accurately received, stocked, and shipped on time while maintaining rigorous safety standards. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities across several key warehouse functions, providing flexibility and opportunities to develop a broad skill set. You might be involved in operating material handling equipment like forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to safely move items weighing up to 100 pounds.
In addition to equipment operation, some shifts may focus on warehouse cleaning and maintenance or the manual unloading and palletizing of products. The position requires close collaboration with colleagues and clear communication with internal and external contacts to resolve discrepancies and ensure product accuracy. Safety is the utmost priority, and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory. You will need to be physically capable of standing and walking for the duration of the shift, lifting heavy boxes, and working at heights when necessary. Staples offers a supportive work environment where teamwork and diversity are celebrated, and career growth is encouraged.
This position is suited for individuals who are detail-oriented, physically fit, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a high-performing supply chain team. With opportunities for equipment certification, performance-based benefits, and a comprehensive benefits package, Staples makes it rewarding to be part of their warehouse operations. Employees enjoy not only a competitive wage but also additional perks such as company-provided work shoes after 60 days, paid time off, holidays, retirement plans, and wellness programs. This role is ideal for those seeking stable employment in a fast-paced, inclusive environment where their efforts directly impact customer satisfaction and company success.
