Job Description

Encore is a leading live event services company specializing in providing comprehensive audio-visual, event planning, and production solutions to a wide range of clients including corporate events, concerts, and conferences. With a well-established reputation in the events industry, Encore focuses on delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions that elevate event experiences. The company operates specialized warehouses and logistics teams to support the seamless transportation and setup of event equipment across multiple locations.

This particular position involves a crucial role within the warehouse operations team, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of goods to customer sites or through defined delivery routes. The role requires the driving and operation of Encore-owned, leased, or rented trucks that fall under the medium-duty category with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of less than 26,001 pounds. Employees must obtain and maintain medium-duty Department of Transportation (DOT) certification as required by state law but do not require a Commercial Driver's License (non-CDL). Reporting directly to the Warehouse Operations Manager, this role centers on logistical responsibilities, customer service, vehicle maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols.

Drivers will be responsible for maintaining set routes and schedules to meet customer expectations, reviewing orders for accuracy during deliveries and pickups, securing cargo to prevent damage, and ensuring compliance with traffic laws and weather conditions. Additionally, drivers will engage with clients positively to uphold a superior level of customer service and act as brand ambassadors for Encore. Equipment handling duties include assisting warehouse and hotel teams with equipment staging and transportation, participating in inventory processes, and adhering to strict policies regarding not leaving vehicles unattended during certain operations.

A significant responsibility includes the routine inspection and maintenance of vehicles. Drivers will liaise with dispatchers and warehouse supervisors to ensure vehicles are regularly serviced and kept clean. Key vehicle care tasks include performing daily vehicle inspections, managing fluid levels such as wiper fluid and Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), and reporting any damages or traffic violations promptly. This position demands effective time management, excellent communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset.

Working conditions for this position involve exposure to warehouse environments which may be dusty or moderately noisy, as well as the requirement to travel on roads frequently between venues and Encore locations. Shifts may consist of day, evening, weekend, or holiday hours, including on-call duties. Candidates should be physically capable of extended sitting times, moderate lifting, and maneuvering in heavy city traffic. This role calls for individuals who demonstrate ownership, professionalism, responsibility, and a strong safety consciousness in all aspects of their work.
