Job Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety regulations
- Customer-focused mindset
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and inventory systems
- Strong communication skills
- Valid forklift license desirable
- Manual handling experience desirable
- Hold a Class 2 license advantageous
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Willing to undergo background screening
- Ability to follow procedures and work under supervision
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally gained in the aerospace logistics industry
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and handling equipment as well as safety regulations within a warehouse environment
- Customer-focused with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
- Flexible and agile
- Attention to detail with good organizational skills
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Have working knowledge of IT, with the ability to use Microsoft Office and bespoke company systems, including inventory systems
- Previous experience dealing with varied customer base and building strong relationships
- Ability to consider several possible options and decide on most appropriate method
- Ability to follow procedures and work under supervision
- Team player with a proactive and positive attitude
- Valid forklift license is desirable
- Manual handling experience is desirable
- Hold a Class 2 license, would be advantageous
Job Duties
- Monitor the receipt, booking in and dispatch of all cargo/goods and record data in accordance with working procedures
- Manage relevant LAX inboxes for inventory receipt and dispatch requests
- Ensure all goods received are booked in within defined timelines and record data on appropriate systems as required
- Ensure freight is screened in accordance with TSA compliance, handled correctly and is accurately identified as either known cargo or unknown cargo
- Load and off-load vehicles in a timely manner, ensuring all freight is accounted for and undamaged
- Assist with labelling and palletizing
- Book shipments on FedEx and other transportation management systems
