The role of Warehouse Associate is a vital component of our warehouse team, responsible for managing the receipt and stocking of materials with a strong emphasis on accuracy and safety. The Warehouse Associate not only performs physical warehouse duties such as unloading trucks, moving inventory, and maintaining accurate records but also engages in customer service both internally and externally. Physical demands of the job include lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license as some job functions include making deliveries in company vehicles. This position requires a high school diploma or GED and a positive attitude toward safety and adhering to company policies.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one year of prior warehouse experience
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to lift carry push or pull up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand and walk long distances for extended periods
  • ability to communicate in English
  • ability to work in exposed environments with extreme temperatures noise and fumes

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Unload trucks and accurately receive merchandise matching bills of lading to purchase orders
  • interpret customer orders work orders shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved gathered or distributed and or shipped and maintain accurate documentation and records
  • move sort and identify materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas according to predetermined sequence
  • prepare bills of lading check items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities destination and routing are correct
  • trace lost shipments and or customer claims of lost shipments initiate proof of delivery documents
  • weigh and count items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards
  • conduct daily counts of resale material and related ancillary products and report discrepancies to appropriate personnel
  • make deliveries in company vehicle
  • perform janitorial duties in warehouse and office
  • adhere to all company safety rules standards and guidelines
  • perform other duties as assigned
