Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior customer service experience is a plus but not required
  • must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • able to communicate effectively in English
  • up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination
  • annual influenza vaccination
  • TB test
  • drug screen
  • background check
  • availability for 1-2 shifts per week with at least one weekend shift
  • willingness to commit to year-round employment

Job Duties

  • Serve all meals in a professional, courteous, and prompt manner
  • explain daily menus including key ingredients and allergen information
  • learn resident names and table assignments
  • set and clear dining room tables according to department standards
  • maintain dining room and kitchen cleanliness as assigned
  • complete assigned duties accurately and timely
  • adhere to food safety, sanitation, and workplace policies
  • comply with uniform guidelines
  • efficiently enter orders into dining services computer system
