Job Requirements

  • Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English
  • ability to read, write and understand business documents in English
  • ability to effectively communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers
  • ability to make self clearly understood by others
  • ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions
  • ability to move food serving and preparation equipment using up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, handle, stand, and walk over 75% of shift
  • ability to safely utilize kitchen equipment and recognize equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
  • ability to work under close supervision performing routine, standardized tasks
  • ability to perform tasks considering residents in vicinity and cooperate with other employees
  • ability to learn basic food serving, cleanliness, and sanitation requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Proficient ability to speak, read, and write English

Job Duties

  • Be upbeat, courteous, and positive
  • possess great guest relation and communication skills
  • deliver hospitality and enhance every guest experience
  • navigate menu and describe featured menu items with extensive knowledge
  • take accurate food and beverage orders and send to kitchen via point of sales system
  • partner with associates to serve food and beverages timely
  • handle cash including counting, balancing cash register, and processing payments accurately
  • maintain confidentiality of guest information
  • adhere to Buckner Service Standards
  • perform side-work duties and maintain cleanliness and sanitation in dining and kitchen areas
  • work successfully as part of a team and develop strong coworker relationships
