We are currently seeking a dedicated Dining Associate to join our Baptist Retirement Community located at the Mainstreet Cafe in San Angelo, TX. This onsite role is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing superior customer service and contributing positively to a supportive community atmosphere. Working as a Dining Associate at Buckner means being an integral part of a team committed to delivering outstanding food and hospitality to our residents. This position operates on an occasional schedule, ideal for candidates looking for flexible engagements that still allow them to make a meaningful impact.

As a Dining Associate, you will be responsible for upholding Buckner’s standards of quality, service, and hospitality by delivering excellent customer service to guests. Your role will involve interacting with residents and visitors, taking and accurately delivering food and beverage orders, and ensuring dining areas are clean and inviting. You’ll be expected to demonstrate warm hospitality and effective communication skills in a team-oriented environment, supporting both guests and colleagues. Maintaining adherence to all food safety and sanitation standards is critical in delivering a safe and enjoyable dining experience. Additionally, you will assist in various supporting functions such as washing and properly storing dishes, contributing to the smooth operation of the dining services department. This position requires a positive attitude, attention to detail in cash handling, and a commitment to building strong relationships with guests, coworkers, vendors, and the broader community. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous dining experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude
  • Cash handling skills including counting and balancing cash register
  • Willingness to build and maintain good working relationships with coworkers guests vendors and community
  • Ability to work occasional schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Cash handling capabilities including counting and balancing cash register
  • Ability to process payments accurately while maintaining confidentiality
  • Previous dining experience
  • A willingness and desire to build and maintain great working relationships with coworkers guests vendors and the community
