This role is centered around supporting the banquet operations at Kinseth Hotel Corporation, where the primary responsibility is to set up banquet and break function tables, serve meals to guests in banquet settings, and ensure timely cleanup after events. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in food service and banquet presentation. The banquet staff member will prepare and organize all non-entree items such as coffee, bread, butter, and condiments, ensuring that everything needed during the banquet is readily available and presented according to property standards. Providing friendly and professional service to banquet guests is a crucial component of this role to ensure positive guest experiences and satisfaction.

Additional tasks include garnishing and decorating dishes before serving, monitoring guests to respond to any special requests, and determining when meals are completed. The candidate will engage in various food service activities including ladling soup, tossing salads, portioning desserts, brewing coffee, and completing necessary side work. After each banquet course or the event's conclusion, tables must be cleared, reset, and banquet items stored properly. This role does not have any supervisory responsibilities but requires adherence to Kinseth Hotel Corporation’s policies, including dress code, safety guidelines, and maintaining a professional image. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and various physical movements such as bending and crouching. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Basic food handling knowledge
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Willingness to follow company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in banquet or food service is an advantage

Job Duties

  • Sets up banquet function tables and break tables with required items according to property standards
  • Prepares, organizes and pre-sets all non-entree items to be used during the banquet including coffee, bread, butter, condiments etc
  • Serves food and beverage to banquet and/or meeting break guests in a friendly and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving
  • Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
  • Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, completes side work and performs other services as required
  • Clears, resets tables and properly stores banquet items at conclusion of each course/banquet
