This position is for a Banquet Server who plays an essential role in the success of banquet events held at Kinseth Hotel Corporation properties. The Banquet Server is responsible for setting up banquet and break tables according to the company’s standards, serving food and beverages to guests during events, and ensuring the cleanliness and proper arrangement of the banquet area throughout and after functions. This role requires attention to detail, professional interpersonal skills, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering impeccable service, the flexibility to perform multiple tasks during events, and a focus on guest satisfaction. Employment is typically full-time or part-time, with the company offering competitive pay and benefits after an introductory period. The Banquet Server will work closely with other team members to meet the high standards expected at Kinseth Hotel Corporation hotels and restaurants. This position is critical in supporting the smooth operation of events, ensuring guests enjoy a seamless dining experience from set-up to service and cleanup.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous banquet or food service experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to follow all company policies and procedures
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in banquet or food service preferred
  • Ability to provide friendly and professional guest service
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Sets up banquet function tables and break tables with required items according to property standards
  • Prepares, organizes and pre-sets all non-entree items to be used during the banquet including coffee, bread, butter, condiments etc
  • Serves food and beverage to banquet and/or meeting break guests in a friendly and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving
  • Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
  • Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, completes side work and performs other services as required
  • Clears, resets tables and properly stores banquet items at conclusion of each course/banquet
