Weatherly Inn is a family-owned senior living community that specializes in memory care and offers resident-centered support. Known for its commitment to excellence, Weatherly Inn provides compassionate, high-quality care in a warm, professional environment where residents and their families feel valued and supported. The community fosters a collaborative atmosphere where the well-being of seniors is the top priority, making it a trusted choice for families seeking specialized care for their loved ones. Weatherly Inn is dedicated to creating a supportive, respectful, and inclusive workplace, adhering to a strong policy of Equal Employment Opportunity to ensure fair hiring, training, promotion, and compensation practices for all employees regardless of race, religion, sex, or other protected classifications.
This part-time Waitstaff position at Weatherly Inn plays a vital role in ensuring a positive dining experience for all residents. The waitstaff member is responsible for providing attentive service, maintaining clean and organized dining areas, and supporting the overall food service operations. The position requires availability during closing hours from 3:45 pm to closing primarily on Saturdays and Sundays, with the flexibility to work various other days as needed. The role reports directly to the Dining Services Manager, Food Services Director, and Administrator, reflecting its integral place within the food service department at Weatherly Inn.
The waitstaff will engage directly with residents in their assigned dining areas, ensuring that their dining needs and preferences are met with care and professionalism. This includes cleaning and setting tables, vacuuming or mopping dining areas, and maintaining the appearance of the dining environment. In addition, the waitstaff member is expected to learn the special needs of residents, including recognizing changes in behavior and reporting these promptly to nursing staff to support overall resident well-being. The role demands punctuality, adherence to dress codes, and readiness for pre-meal briefings, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, communication, and a positive attitude. The waitstaff will also follow all established policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and be vigilant in reporting unsafe conditions, needed repairs, or any incidents occurring onsite.
This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in working in senior living food services, especially those passionate about contributing to the quality of life for seniors with memory care needs. The role not only focuses on food service duties but also on enhancing the dining experience through kindness, attentiveness, and respect. The compensation for this position ranges from $20.57 to $21.57 per hour, reflecting the importance of the role within the community and the specialized nature of the care environment. Candidates with previous food service experience, especially in settings involving elder care, and those with certifications such as Food Handler and dementia training will find this position well-suited for their skills and career goals. Overall, the Part-Time Waitstaff role at Weatherly Inn is an essential element of the community's mission to provide a compassionate, high-quality living experience for seniors in a supportive and engaging environment.
