Job Description

Generations is a family-first, family-owned, and family-operated company that has been serving senior living communities across California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington since 1943. With a long-standing commitment to enhancing the lives of residents and staff alike, Generations prides itself on fostering a supportive and enriching environment that values the unique contributions of every team member. The company emphasizes a culture of care, respect, and community, making it a distinctive workplace where employees are treated like family. Their mission centers on increasing vitality and joy through compassionate service and meaningful connections, reflecting their core values of integrity, dedication, and collaboration. As an equal opportunity employer, Generations welcomes diverse applicants and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace that respects all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.

The Wexford, a part of the Generations family, is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Waitstaff to join their team. Working as a Waitstaff at The Wexford means more than just serving meals; it involves delivering an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests in a warm, welcoming environment. This role requires adherence to cleanliness standards and prompt, courteous meal service to ensure that the Dining Room remains inviting at all times. Waitstaff members are expected to comply with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations, maintaining a high standard of community operation. Incorporating Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values into daily work is paramount, as each interaction reflects the company's commitment to quality care and respectful service.

This part-time position offers flexible shifts including Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm; and Saturdays with both daytime and evening shifts, totaling up to 17 hours a week. There is also a separate part-time option for 8 hours per week, focusing on Fridays and Saturdays. Holiday availability is preferred, creating opportunities for additional engagement during special occasions. The Wexford provides on-the-job training, allowing candidates without prior experience to develop essential skills and grow within the company. Employees benefit from a safe work environment and numerous growth opportunities, reflecting the company’s investment in its workforce.

The compensation package includes paid time off (PTO) for both full-time and part-time employees, along with medical, dental, and vision insurance options for full-time staff. Additionally, the company offers a 401k employer match, promoting financial wellness for its employees. Engagement programs and a positive workplace culture further enhance the overall employee experience.

In this role, the Waitstaff will play a crucial part in transforming meal times into memorable moments, supporting residents’ well-being and enhancing their quality of life. Joining The Wexford is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors, enjoy working in a collaborative team setting, and are eager to uphold a superior level of service that aligns with Generations’ core values.
