Job Description

This job opportunity is offered by a community-oriented senior living facility dedicated to providing exceptional care and a pleasant living environment for its residents. The establishment prioritizes safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming atmosphere within its dining and activity areas. As a full-time employer, they emphasize adhering to rigorous standards of hygiene and service to ensure that every resident experiences comfort and dignity during their dining experiences.

The position available is a full-time dining room attendant role focused on delivering prompt, pleasant, and efficient service to community residents visiting the dining rooms and participating in community activities. The role involves maintaining the physical appearance of the dining rooms and waitress stations while being vigilant about potential hazards that could pose safety risks to the residents. This responsibility requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment.

Key duties include ensuring that the dining rooms meet or exceed established standards of cleanliness and appearance, diligently maintaining personal hygiene, and respecting the confidentiality of resident information at all times. The dining room attendant will be responsible for creating a pleasant dining experience tailored to specific dietary needs where necessary, as well as overseeing the dining room setup to meet or exceed hospitality and service standards.

Additionally, the dining room attendant will assist with obtaining food and supplies, distributing and storing clean dishes, and practicing safe and sanitary food handling procedures. The role includes supporting food preparation efforts, cleaning duties in the dining and kitchen areas, and adhering to all safety, loss prevention, and infection control standards. Flexibility is required, as the attendant may be called upon to fill in other positions within the dining and wait staff team.

The establishment also values staff members who exhibit leadership qualities through servant leadership, demonstrate a genuine passion for working with seniors, and participate actively in community meetings and Life Enrichment activities. Maintaining regular attendance and punctuality is essential, as is the ability to respond appropriately to emergency procedures such as reporting missing persons and fire evacuation drills.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about senior care and service, with a cheerful and tactful demeanor, who take pride in supporting a safe and supportive community for older adults. The position complies with necessary background screenings and encourages continuous training and adherence to tailored protocols for resident safety and well-being.
