This job operates on an occasional or PRN basis, allowing flexibility in work schedule while contributing significantly to the dining experience of the residents. As a member of the waitstaff team, employees are responsible for preparing and serving meals that are nourishing, palatable, and visually appealing, thus ensuring residents enjoy their dining time. The role involves not only serving meals but also demonstrating extensive knowledge of the menu, accurately processing orders through the point-of-sale (POS) system, maintaining cash handling integrity, and upholding high standards of cleanliness and sanitation within dining and some kitchen areas. The position requires a Food Handler's Certification or the willingness to obtain one after hire and knowledge of food safety and cleanliness standards. Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of and ability to learn food serving, cleanliness and sanitation requirements
  • Food Handler's Certification or ability to obtain once hired
  • Ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds continuously to move food service and preparation equipment and other objects
  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, stand and walk over 75 percent of shift

  • Perform cash handling including counting and balancing cash register, ensure timely and accurate payment processing, maintain confidentiality of guest information
  • Multi-task and work well with others

  • Perform all side-work duties and maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all dining and some kitchen areas
  • Work as part of a team and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers
