The role of Waitstaff at Fellowship Square is integral to the daily operations of the dining services department. This position requires compassionate and dedicated individuals who are passionate about hospitality and who truly care about making a positive impact on the lives of senior residents. Serving as a vital link between the kitchen and residents, Waitstaff are responsible for providing excellent service by greeting residents warmly, assisting them courteously during meal times, and ensuring that dietary needs and special requests are accurately met. The role involves setting tables, serving meals, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness and safety within the dining room. Additionally, Waitstaff may assist with meal preparation and delivery to residents unable to dine in common areas, requiring strong communication with kitchen staff and other team members.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • a high school diploma or equivalent
  • pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
  • possess or obtain a Food Handler's Card within 30 days from hire
  • ability to lift, carry, and serve food trays
  • follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • a high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
  • must possess a Food Handler's Card or obtain within 30 days from hire
  • previous experience in waitstaff, food service, or hospitality is preferred
  • a passion for working with seniors and providing excellent customer service
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety and sanitation procedures
  • ability to lift, carry, and serve food trays as required

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist residents in a courteous and professional manner during meal times
  • serve meals to residents according to dietary guidelines and special requests
  • set tables, clear dishes, and ensure the dining room is clean and organized
  • assist in the preparation and delivery of meals to residents' rooms when needed
  • communicate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate meal orders and requests are met
  • ensure that dining areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained at all times
  • respond to resident requests and special needs with a helpful and friendly attitude
  • follow all food safety and sanitation standards to ensure safe meal service
  • assist with other tasks as needed to support the dining services department
