The establishment is known for maintaining clean, well-stocked, and organized work areas, ensuring a professional environment that supports both guest satisfaction and efficient team operations. Employees are expected to uphold the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and safety. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, often requiring employees to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate live racing schedules and peak customer demand. Dependability, good attendance, and occasional overtime are essential for success in this role.
The role involves serving guests promptly and courteously, collecting payments for meals and beverages, and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. The individual will be responsible for setting up properly for live racing events, maintaining rolling silverware, filling salt and pepper shakers, and ensuring sugar caddies are stocked daily. Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of menus is crucial to provide guests with accurate information and respond to their needs effectively. This position requires clear communication with guests, coworkers, and supervisors, as well as providing guidance to supporting staff such as bussers and bartenders. The work demands physical stamina, including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items, and navigating stairs regularly. A clean uniform and a positive, honest, and outgoing personality are essential traits.
