These positions are available on both a full-time and part-time basis and require availability during evenings and weekends. The hourly pay range offered is $15.00 to $21.00 depending on experience and shift availability. The Waiter/Waitress role at Unidine is a customer-focused position integral to creating memorable dining experiences for guests. Responsibilities include greeting guests warmly and taking food and beverage orders with efficiency and professionalism. The role requires thorough knowledge of the menu and the ability to advise guests on food and drink combinations while accommodating special dietary needs and preferences including allergens. Waitstaff must deliver food promptly, uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, and maintain effective communication with kitchen and other service staff to ensure order accuracy and customer satisfaction. Exceptional interpersonal skills, patience, and conflict resolution abilities are key to excelling in this role. Handling payments responsibly, maintaining a clean and welcoming dining atmosphere, and assisting with set up and tear down before and after service are also important duties. The position may involve operating equipment such as tea and soda machines or coffee makers and participating in special events and functions alongside other departments. Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist guests with additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
- accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences
- communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special request accommodation
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience and flexibility when interacting with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address and relay guest complaints to supervisors
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service and kept clean during service
- operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
