Job Requirements

  • Experience is preferred
  • availability to work full-time or part-time schedules
  • ability to work evenings and weekends
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to maintain high standards of customer service and cleanliness
  • basic math skills for cash handling
  • ability to follow established food safety guidelines
  • capacity to work cooperatively with others
  • must be able to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods
  • must comply with any required background screening

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in a waiter/waitress role preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to operate point of sale systems and handle cash transactions
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  • friendly and professional demeanor

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist guests with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences
  • communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special request accommodation
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience and flexibility when interacting with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address and relay guest complaints to supervisors
  • ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service and kept clean during service
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
