Job Requirements

  • 1 year of server experience required
  • availability to work part-time schedule including weekends
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • capacity to stand and walk for extended periods
  • basic math skills for cash handling
  • compliance with food safety standards
  • capability to operate dining room equipment
  • attend to cleanliness and sanitation
  • willingness to perform additional duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum 1 year of server experience required
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask and remain patient and flexible
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • knowledge of menu items and ingredients
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follows up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
  • demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests on food and drink combinations
  • accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
  • communicates directly with kitchen and other staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests
  • exhibits exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with others
  • collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • promotes a clean, safe and neat dining environment
  • maintains confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly addresses complaints or issues and reports to supervisor
  • ensures proper setup and cleanup of dining area
  • operates various equipment including fire extinguishers and beverage machines
  • collaborates with other departments during special events
  • performs additional duties as assigned
