Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • previous server experience preferred but not required
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • basic math skills for handling transactions
  • ability to understand and accommodate dietary restrictions and allergens
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • commitment to maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards
  • familiarity with cash handling procedures

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically with guests to assist with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences including specialized diets and allergens
  • communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain a positive attitude with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe and neat dining environment
  • maintain confidentiality of personal or medical information shared by guests
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
  • ensure dining room setup and cleanliness before and after service
  • operate various equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with other departments during special events and perform other assigned duties
