Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work part-time hours including nights and weekends
  • previous waiter/waitress experience preferred but not required
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • one year of previous waiter/waitress experience preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established service steps
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist guests with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items, ingredients, and dietary accommodations
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address guest complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
  • ensure dining room is set up properly before and after service
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
