Job Requirements

Minimum of 1 year professional server experience
availability to work part-time including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays evenings
ability to work occasional weekday mornings and evenings
experience in an assisted living facility preferred
ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year professional server experience
experience in assisted living facility preferred
ability to understand and communicate menu items and specialized diets
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to handle cash and follow cash-handling procedures
knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks and accommodate reasonable requests
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain flexibility and patience with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service
operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
work with other departments during special events and functions
perform other duties as assigned
