Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior experience in food and beverage service is advantageous but not required
strong communication and interpersonal skills
ability to learn and quickly adapt to new service procedures
knowledge of food safety and sanitation a plus
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
customer service orientation
willingness to work varied schedules
basic math skills for cash handling

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests accommodated
exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to work well with others
remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe, and neat environment
maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
promptly address complaints or issues and escalate to supervisors
ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
collaborate with other departments during special events
perform other duties as assigned
