Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
  • communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accuracy of orders and special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and team members
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
  • ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service and meets sanitation standards
  • operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff of other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
