Job Requirements

- must be able to work part-time schedules including weekends
- must have reliable transportation to Maple Knolle Village location
- ability to stand and move for extended periods
- ability to communicate clearly in English
- willingness to comply with company policies including drug-free workplace
- must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- strong customer service orientation
- knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or items
- flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends
- willingness to learn and follow instructions
- previous hospitality experience is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special request accommodation
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain a positive, patient attitude with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- coordinate with other department staff during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
